We are very excited about the remake of the original 2002 title in the series, it will be available as part of the Mafia: Trilogy or as a stand-alone crime drama but you will have to wait until August 28 to buy it. The press release provides more details: Mafia: Definitive Edition is a comprehensive, built-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia, complete with an updated script filled with rich new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes; all-new gameplay sequences and features; and other enhancements.

Mafia II: Definitive Edition received an Ultra HD remaster that supports 4K visuals. And Mafia III includes all three campaign add-ons, plus all previously released Weapons and Vehicle Packs.

Players who purchase Mafia: Trilogy digitally prior to August 28, 2020, will access Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition immediately on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam, and will be able to download Mafia: Definitive Edition as soon as it becomes available on August 28, 2020. The Mafia: Trilogy physical edition will release in full on August 28, 2020, and is currently only planned for release in select EMEA and Asia regions.
