Earth Day 2010 celebrates the 40th anniversary of this special day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in held on April 22, 1970. Forty years after the first Earth Day, we have to face the truth: the world is in greater peril than ever…
Climate change, pollution, environment issues; a lot of work has still to be done to stop destroying Earth, our planet. At the Sama Gazette, we do our best to be green and individually, we also try to be as respectful to the environment as we can but we are not perfect. Nobody is anyway. Awareness and consciousness are important and we wish Earth Day will soon evolve into ‘Earth Day every day’.
