Last week, it was on Friday to be precise, we could read some interesting information from Women for Women International and Women for Women UK. Women for Women International presented their partnership with Kate Spade New York, and Women for Women UK updated its brand new twitter background, introducing a new collection of t-shirts to buy. Let’s see what it is all about!
About Kate Spade New York (read more here and shop products made by women in the Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo program here):
Since 2005, kate spade new york and Women for Women International have been working together to promote micro-enterprises for women in the still recovering communities throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. The enterprise is the next step in an ongoing product development partnership over the past four years. Women for Women International will provide the training in knitting for the women, with creative direction from kate spade new york.
About the t-shirts, designed by ‘inspirational women in fashion’ such as Charlotte Olympia, Pam Hogg, Bella Freud, Amanda Wakeley or Nicole Farhi (you can buy them on Net-a-porter.com):
Each T-shirt has been designed by an inspirational woman in fashion in association with Harper’s Bazaar. Proceeds will go towards Women for Women International which helps support women from war-torn countries.
‘Want to look and feel good this Summer?’ Now you know how: you can buy a t-shirt (the ‘Femme’ one designed by Bella Freud is our favorite) and/or a bag (like the red Grosgrain Plisse Priti) to support Women for Women International. We like this kind of initiative, back in September, we published an article: RAISE Hope for Congo: Activism you can wear. And talking about [Congo], on the 3rd of July Women for Women International will launch Run for Congo. Get your new pair of shoes ready!
