Last week Amnesty International celebrated its 40th anniversary. This is why we decided to honor the organization and dedicate this Twitter Sunday to @AmnestyOnline. Amnesty International holds a special place for us because the organization (represented by Geneviève Garrigos, President of Amnesty International France – AIF) signed the “60 Signers for the 60th Anniversary” Initiative launched by Max Dana on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
A quick introduction to the organizations and its actions: Amnesty International is a worldwide movement of people who campaign for internationally recognized human rights to be respected and protected for everyone. Their mission is to conduct research and generate action to prevent and end grave abuses of human rights and to demand justice for those whose rights have been violated.
